FAQ

My spoon ring is too small or too big, what now?

If you want a quick fix and are somewhat handy, adjusting the size is really quite easy. To make a spoon ring bigger, you can hammer it down on a metal mandrel, expanding the ring as you tap it down. If you do not have a metal mandrel, you can take two pairs of pliers (preferably with tape around the jaws to prevent scratching), and firmly but slowly pull the ends apart until it fits as desired.

If your spoon ring is too big, the solution is easier. Simply take a rubber mallet and tape the ends of the ring close together. Make fine adjustments and keep checking the fit as you go.

If you would rather just send it back to be resized, you must cover shipping cost to me and I will resize and ship back at my own expense.

My guitar string ring is too big or too small, what next?

Guitar string rings cannot be resized, I must make new rings to the new size you desire. If you want a new ring in a different size, you must first ship the old ring back to me at your cost. Upon receiving the ring I will make you a new ring with the new size, at 50% of the cost of the original ring. Then I will ship the new ring back at my expense.

Can I send my own guitar strings or spoons/forks for you to make rings out of?

YES! In fact it will not even cost you anything extra so long as we communicate beforehand on the types of material you are sending me. Just contact me with what you desire and I will give you the next steps there :)

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I send my silverware to have it converted?

After you order, keep an eye out for an email from us that will be sent right away giving you final instructions and sending location for your memorial jewelry and keepsakes.

What if my guitar string ring doesn't fit?

As guitar string rings can't be resized, we offer a replacement service. Send back the ring to us at your cost, and upon receipt, we'll create a new ring to your desired size. This service costs 50% of the original ring price, and we'll cover the shipping of the new ring.

Can I adjust the size of my spoon ring at home?

Absolutely! If your spoon ring doesn't fit perfectly, here are two simple DIY fixes:

  • To make the ring larger, tap it down onto a metal mandrel, expanding it gently with each tap. If a metal mandrel isn't available, use a pair of needle nose pliers (with tape around the jaws to prevent scratching) to gradually pull the ends apart until it fits.
  • If your ring is too large, take a rubber mallet and tap the ends closer together. Remember to make incremental adjustments and keep checking the fit as you go.

If you'd prefer, you can send the ring back to us for resizing. You'll only need to cover the shipping cost to us, and we'll handle the resizing and return shipping.

How are Dremeworks pieces sustainable?

At Dremeworks, we use recycled and repurposed materials, such as guitar strings, spoons and forks for our creations, contributing to a healthier planet and adding a touch of history and uniqueness to each piece.

How do I care for my Dremeworks jewelry?

Our pieces are crafted to last, but gentle care can help prolong their beauty. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, and gently clean them with a wire brush or steel wool when needed.

Can I send my own materials, such as guitar strings or spoons/forks for custom pieces?

Definitely! We love creating unique pieces from materials that hold special meaning for our customers.
